On foot through meadows and Dolomites.
A simple, scenic trail leads to Baita Vallongia, through flowering meadows and conifer woods, with the Sassolungo always in view.
From Plan de Gralba to the lodge
The easiest way to reach Baita Vallongia on foot is to start from Plan de Gralba: it takes about half an hour, or you can get off at the top station of the Ciampinoi cable car and continue from there. From the City of Stones
For those coming from further away, the lodge is also reachable from the City of Stones (Ortisei) in about an hour on foot: a longer hike, but just as scenic, perfect for anyone wanting to dedicate half a day to the mountains.
From Selva, by cable car and chairlift
For a more comfortable route, you can start directly from Selva di Val Gardena and rely on the lifts: the Ciampinoi cable car takes you to the top station, from where the Piza Pransëiës chairlift continues almost to the lodge's door. It's the ideal solution for anyone who wants to enjoy the view without a long walk, letting the mountain do the impressing and the lifts do the work.
